  • The Roman Catholic Church of Joseph Calasanz was built in 1768 by Duke Antal Károlyi by the plans of an architect from Vienna called Franz Rosenstiegl. After the 1834 earthquake, it was renovated by the plans of Miklós Ybl on the costs of Duke György Károlyi.

    The Greek Catholic Church was built in 1738 by Demeter Rácz, the Manor Manager of the Károlyi family. Its richly decorated iconostasis and the paintings of the dome give the visitors a truly pleasant spectacle. The Reformed Church was built between 1746 and 1752. It was badly ruined by the earthquake in 1834, but its restoration was quickly done thanks to the donations from the congregations and the guilds. In the churchyard, the statue of Gáspár Károli can be seen.

    The building of the synagogue started in 1866. A marble obelisk was placed outside the Church in memory of the victims of the holocaust. The Evangelist Church was built between 1815 and 1823. The Orthodox Church used to belong to the Rumanian Greek Catholics’; it was built between 1752 and 1766. The building of the orthodox archpriest is next to it.
